Tombs of Al-Mizawaka
The tombs of Al-Mizawaka date back to the Pharaonic period. The
most important tombs are the ones from Pelusis and Petosiris.
Although the tombs are decorated in a traditional Egyptian style,
also we can see characteristics of the Greek and Persian stile.
The village of Bashedi
Is a village with pharaonic style located at 40 Km. to the east
of Mut. Bashedi has a Islamic cemetery and Roman tombs, and one of
the most important is the tomb of Kitnes.
Temple of Deir Al-Hager
Date back to the roman period, this temple also know with the
name of “Monastery of the rock” was build for Amon and his wife Mut.
It has inscriptions representing the religious life. It is one of
the few Roman ruins in the area, but recently has been
reconstructed.
