The houses of this city are build with bricks and the streets are narrow and winding and most of them are cover with a roof.

In this city is the Temple of Hibis, build in the 18th dynasty. To 10 Km. is the necropolis of Bagawat. Contains 263 chapels build with bricks and Coptic murals. In one of these chapels you could see images of Adam and Eve.

To the south of this city also you could visit in this oasis the village of Genna, Guehda, with a temple dedicated to Amon, Mut and Khonsu, the village of Bulaq with his spring waters, Dakakih, Baris, Dush, with a temple dedicated to Isis and Serapis, and so on.
